Jose Alberto Medina

September 9, 1969 — February 25, 2024

Ruidoso Downs

Jose Alberto Medina, fondly known for his very loveable and kind nature, passed away on February 25, 2024. He was the epitome of a loving father, with a heart as vast as the sky and a smile that could light up even the darkest of rooms. Jose had a charming presence, always armed with jokes that brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.

Born with a love for adventure, Jose found solace in riding motorcycles, embracing the thrill of the open road. However, his greatest joy came from taking his granddaughter to the park, cherishing every moment spent instilling in her the same values of kindness and love that defined his own character.

Jose's outgoing personality and willingness to go out of his way for others left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His dedication to his family knew no bounds, as he consistently put their needs above his own without a second thought.

In his passing, Jose leaves behind a legacy of compassion and selflessness that will be carried on by those he cherished the most. He will be deeply missed by his surviving family and friends who were touched by his unwavering love and jovial spirit.

While we mourn the loss of Jose Alberto Medina from this world, we take solace in knowing that his memory will live on in our hearts forever. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the joy and laughter he brought to so many during his time with us.

Jose is survived by his loving wife, Angela Medina; sons, Johnny A. Medina, Justin G. Medina, and Jesus A. Medina; daughter, Alma V. Medina; grandchildren, Ilijah Medina, Erionny A. Medina, Marlen A. Meza, Abraham R. Meza, Benjamin Medina, and Jaznellie A. Medina; brothers, Manuel Medina Parra, Tito Roberto Parra, David Parra, and Carlos Parra; sisters, Dolores M. Parra, Lonena Parra, and Crystal L. Parra; and his mother, Maria Guadalupe Parra. He is preceded in death by his oldest son, Jose A. Medina Jr.

The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso.
