Joann New, 72, of Ruidoso passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 in Albuquerque. She was born September 9, 1941 at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
She moved to Ruidoso in January, 1995 from Hobbs, NM and operated The New Shop in Mid Town. She attended the J Bar J Country Church. She married John New on November 29, 1991 at Hobbs, NM.
She is survived by her husband, John son, Christopher Lohrengel and his wife Catherine of Noca, AZ two grandchildren, Aidan Lohrengel and Zachary Lohrengel two brothers, John Baum and William Baum both of California.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 12, at 11:00 AM at LaGrone Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Ft. Stanton Cemetery.
