Joan Chewning

A memorial service for Joan Chewning, 74, of Capitan will be Saturday, Aug. 29, at 11:00 AM in the Capitan United Methodist Church located at 3rd and White Oaks Street. Funeral services and burial were Friday, Aug. 7, in Lithonia, Georgia. Mrs. Chewning passed away Saturday, Aug. 1, in Mescalero. She was born February 1, 1935 at Irwinton, Geogia and moved to Lincoln County in 2001. She is survived by her husband, Gene Chewning; her son and daughter in law, Greg and Maryln Chewning; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
