Jan Janice M. Cox, 59, of Nogal, New Mexico was called home to be with her Lord Savior on October 15, 2013.

Jan was born June 20, 1954 in Tularosa, NM to Tommy and Anna Mae LaMay.

Jan was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County, graduating from Capitan High School in 1972. That same year a great love story began when she married the love of her life, Stan Cox. Not only was Jan an amazing wife, she was Stans business partner, best friend and a beautiful mother to their boys. If you knew Jan you would find her sitting right next to her husband in the front seat of their pickup Jan was so passionate about her garden, flowers, sewing, hummingbirds, and her kittys. She was always a hippy at heart The memory of her beauty, grace and love for life will never be forgotten.

Jan is survived by her husband, Stan Cox of Nogal. Her parents, Tommy and Anna Mae LaMay of T or C. Brother, Billy LaMay and wife Elaine of T or C, sister, Edith Dobbins and husband Grover of Capitan, brother, Bobby LaMay and wife Sherry of Capitan. Her sons, Tommy Cox and wife Rhonda of Amarillo, TX and Stacy Cox and wife Brittany of Alto. Grandchildren, Veronica ReevesLopez and husband Joseph, Stephanie Reeves and fiance Tyler Avent, Taylor Cox, Hayden Cox and Rylie Cox and great grandson Reeves Nathaniel Lopez. And many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all the wonderful people and organizations including those that came together this past Sunday in prayer all across this region and that helped throughout these past few years. Words cannot express the joy we saw in Jan knowing she was so loved.

Funeral services will be held this Saturday, October 19, 2013 at The Flying J Ranch in Alto, NM at 11:00 AM.
