James Blume Jr.

Memorial service for James A. Blume Jr. 77, of Ruidoso will be Monday, April 6, at 11:00 AM in the First Presbyterian Church in Ruidoso. Mr. Blume passed away Thursday, April 2, in Ruidoso. He was born October 28, 1931 in Denver, Colorado. Mr. Blume was in the Air Force then he made a career of the Navy having served during the Korean War. He was a member of the Ruidoso Masonic Lodge and attended the First Presbyterian Church. He moved to Lincoln County in 1977 from Ft. Worth, Texas. He married Ellen on June 21, 1978 at Capitan. Mr. Blume is survived by his wife, Ellen Blume of Ruidoso; brother, Robert A. Blume and his wife, Dee Ann of Elizabeth, Colorado; children, Kathy Houchin of Lawrence, Kansas, Karen Roemisch of Euless, Texas, James Baker and his wife, Cindi of Keller, Texas, Carl Baker and his wife Elaine of Colleyville, Texas, Becky Cabe of Ft. Worth, Texas; 16 grandchildren and a nephew, Byran Blume of Palm Springs, California. The family has requested memorials to the Ruidoso Hospice Foundation in Ruidoso.
