Jacob Martinez

Prayer service for Jacob Martinez, 24, of Mescalero will be Friday, Oct. 24, at 7:00 PM at St. Joseph's Mission where the funeral mass will be on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 1:00 PM with burial to follow at the Mescalero Cemetery. Jacob passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Mescalero. He was born October 27, 1983 at Mescalero and had lived there all of his life. He was working at the Inn of the Mountain Gods, attending Eastern New Mexico University at Ruidoso and had served in Marine Corp participating in the Global War on Terrorism in Iraq. He attended St. Joseph's Mission. He is survived by his parents, Steven and Liz Martinez; sisters and brother, Velvet Martinez, Jesse Martinez, Kristen Martinez, and Stephanie Martinez; niece, Mailin Kanseah; grandparents, Veronica Cadue, Isabel Martinez and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Norman C. Cadue, Steven V. Martinez, and Lielie Whitebird and grandmother, Norma Jean Whitebird.
