Private memorial services were held for Jack E. Yeager, 79, of Ruidoso. Mr. Yeager passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010 in Ruidoso. He was born October 7, 1930 at St. Louis, Missouri. He moved to Ruidoso in 1996 from El Paso, Texas. He was a former volunteer at the Ruidoso and Ruidoso Downs Senior Citizen Centers and a retired income tax specialist. He had served in the Marines and the Air Force.
Mr. Yeager was loving husband, companion, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Jack is remembered for his sharp wit, intellect, and humor. Jack was a nature and animal lover.
He is survived by two sons, Jack E. Yeager III of The Woodlands, TX and Clint Yeager of Los Angeles, CA three daughters, Angy YeagerBock of Little Rock, AR, Kit Ryan of Fabens, TX and Terry yeager of Las Cruces, NM 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren his companion, JoAnn Huenergarth of Ruidoso and he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray Yeager.
The family has requested memorials to the Humane Society of Lincoln County.
Cremation was under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso.
