Ida Herrera

Funeral mass for Ida V. Herrera, 86, of Carrizozo will be Friday, August 19, at 10:00 AM at Santa Ritas Catholic Church with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. Herrera passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at her home in Carrizozo. She was born October 30, 1924 at Nogal, NM to Narcia and Leandro S. Vega Sr. and and had lived in Lincoln County all of her life. She attended Santa Ritas Catholic Church. She married Joe S. Herrera on October 25, 1942 in Carrizozo and he preceded her in death on July 28, 2011.

She is survived by a son, Robert Herrera two sisters, Frances Bohl and her husband Dave and Helen King and her husband Gordon 3 brothers, Henry Vega and his wife Lucia, Robert Vega and Richard Vega and his wife Flora a grandson, Joe Don Herrera and his wife Cheri 3 great grandchildren, Chelsea, Gavin and Isabella and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in
death by a daughter, Rahcael Herrera sisters, Sofia Ortiz and Betty Lueras and a brother, Leandro Vega Jr.
