Ida Hale

Funeral service for Ida Mae Hale, 84, of Ruidoso Downs will be Thursday, May 26, at 2:00 PM at the J Bar J Country Church in Ruidoso with burial to follow at the Angus Cemetery. Ms. Hale passed away Sunday, May 22, in Ruidoso. She was born December 24, 1926 at El Paso, Texas.

She moved to Lincoln County in 1963 from Fresno, California. She was the director of kitchens at the Ruidoso Municipal School District retiring in the early 1990s. She was very active in the Ruidoso Downs Auxiliary and was named the Ruidoso Downs Citizen of the Year in 1998.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna Marshall Ruidoso Downs a brother, Jim Minter of Oklahoma two sisters, Lorraine Minter of Oklahoma and Judy Spivey of Texas 3 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Lewis Hale.
