Howard Stewart, 74, of Carrizozo passed away Monday, September 16, 2019 at his home. He was born October 21, 1944 at Talihina, Oklahoma to Nadine and Sherman Stewart.
He was veteran of the Navy. He moved to Lincoln County in 1993 from Davie, Florida and lived in the Capitan area for 6 years before moving near Carrizozo. He was very active with the Lincoln/Otero Counties Seniors Pool Tournaments.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Alcia Stewart of Raleigh, NC; son, Howard Stewart Jr. of Michigan; sister, Mary Bartlett of Las Cruces; step-daughter, Teri Sullivan of Los Lunas, NM; 4 grandkids and 1 great grandson and two nieces and nephews.
His service will be Friday, September 20, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at Ft. Stanton State Veterans Cemetery.
