Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Helen Klinekole, 74, of Mescalero, New Mexico left this earth and entered eternal life to be with her heavenly father, The Lord on Friday, October 21, 2022 at her home. She was born July 12, 1948 in Mescalero, New Mexico to Magdalena Magoosh and William Cansler. After the passing of her father, she was raised by her stepfather Gibson Fatty.
Her passions were her family and helping others. Helen was very active with the church for many years, and was called upon by many people to help with prayer and assisting community events.
Helen retired from the federal government after 31 years of service. She was a leader in the tribal government as a councilwoman for nearly 2 terms. When called upon, Helen was always ready to help others.
Family left to mourn include her husband of 53 years, Bruce Klinekole II, one son Bruce Klinekole III and his wife Rhonda. One daughter, Lydia Klinekole. Four grandchildren; Christlyn Kirgan, Bruce Klinekole IV, Myrandah Kirgan, and Kreig Kirgan. Three great-grandchildren; Lilliah Bigrope, Draydan Kirgan, and Zakkary Kirgan. Others include one brother, Cornell Fatty, three sisters Rufina Lozano, Pansy Shendo, and Claudine Smith. Numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Ruby Walsh.
