Helen Godwin

Memorial service for Helen Godwin, 77, of Alto will be Monday, August 9, at 1:30 PM at the Ruidoso Downs Race Track Chapel. Mrs. Godwin was born May 16, 1933 at Loco, Oklahoma. She passed away Friday, August 6, at her home. She moved to Lincoln County five years ago from Midlothian, Texas. She was retired SecretaryTreasurer for JayH Fixtures in DeSoto, Texas. She married Archie Godwin on March 1, 1952.

She is survived by her husband Archie of Alto three children, James Godwin of Ovilla, Texas, LuAnn Godwin of Farmers Branch, Texas and Charles Godwin of Midlothian, Texas two sisters, Pat Britton of Irving, Texas and Charlotte Godwin of Carrollton, Texas six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

The family has requested memorials to the Ruidoso Downs Race Track Chapel.

Cremation is under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso.
