Helen Adams

December 3, 1925 — December 30, 2017

Helen Ruth Adams died Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the age of 92 in Ruidoso, NM after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 3 1925 in Artesia, NM to Jim and Writa Mae Hammond. She was the oldest of seven children.

She married in Carlsbad, N.M to a (Texas boy) Pinkey Adams in 1945. They were
married almost 63 years. He passed away in 2008. They enjoyed music and dancing.
They had a music studio most of their married life where they taught accordion, guitar,
and piano lessons.

Ruth became one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1947. For over 40 years she spent many
hours as a full time evangelizer teaching many the truth of the Bible. She loved teaching
people the Bible and teaching the piano. She was a great teacher.
Ruth is preceded in death by her two sisters, Georgie Buck and Louise Sherman. also her youngest brother, Frank Hammond.
She is survived by three brothers, Charlie Hammond of Jupiter, Florida, James (J.O.) Hammond of Artesia, NM and John Hammond of Vernel, Utah. She is also survived by her three daughters, Sharron McClure and husband Ray of Ruidoso, NM, Janine McClure and husband Steve of San Angelo, Texas and Shelly Boatman and husband Heath of Loving NM. She has seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 4:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 776 Gavilan Canyon Road, Ruidoso, NM.
