Harold Cole

January 26, 1932 — June 2, 2014

Harold Cole, 82, of Ruidoso passed away Monday, June 2, 2014 in Webster, Texas. He was born January 26, 1932 at Memphis, Texas.

He graduated from Texas Western College in El Paso. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad as a Locomotive Engineer in 1999 after working for fortynine and a half years. He moved to the James Canyon area in Otero County 14 years ago from El Paso then moved to Ruidoso 6 years ago. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korea Conflict. He married Barradine Medaris on August 28, 1955 at Eureka, California.

He is survived by his wife, Barradine of Ruidoso his daughter, Roberta Blalock and her husband, James and a son Harold Cole Jr. all of Baytown, Texas a brother, David Cole of Tracey, CA and a sister, Esta Mattie Woodall of Springfield, MO 4 grandchildren, Toni Michelle Blalock and her fiancee Soilo Pruneda, Wesley Blalock and his wife, Renee Jeremy Blalock and Joshua Blalock.

Visitation will be Monday, June 9, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, June 10, at 10:00 AM at the J Bar J Church with burial to follow at Ft. Stanton Cemetery.
