George Watrous

He moved to El Paso at the age of 14 years and graduated from Austin High School. George was employed as a telephone switchman with Southwestern Bell until his retirement in 1991. He moved to Ruidoso in 1992. George married Gloria L. Traettino in El Paso on June 3, 1961. Gloria preceded him in death in 1995.
George is survived by his son, William Bill Watrous of Ruidoso, also his daughter, Grace Nicholson and husband Tommy of El Paso. George is also survived by his two sisters, Sherry Ware and husband Paul of El Paso and Desta Bunny Harvey of West, Texas and a brother, Tommie Lee Watrous of El Paso. Also surviving him is his brother-in-law, Leland DeFord of El Paso. A grandson, Tommy Nicholson of El Paso also survives him along with many nieces and nephews.
