George Jackson "Jack" Schlageter, born on November 2, 1950, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away tragically in an automobile accident on October 29, 2024, in Carrizozo, New Mexico, along with his wife Jacquelyn.
Jack graduated high school in Grundy County, Tennessee, where he played the trumpet in the school band and was the captain his senior year. Following his education, he served in the Coast Guard for six years during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1975, after his daughter Melissa was born. Jack was a devoted family man who cherished his loved ones and worked hard to ensure their well-being. Jack and Jackie's marriage was deeply rooted in faith.
He had a deep love for the outdoors but could not bring himself to hunt due to his love for animals. Jack's fondness extended to his last dog, Shaggy, who brought joy to his life.
