Ft. Cemetery

On Saturday May 26, 2012 Ft. Stanton Veteranss Cemetery will celebrate the 113th anniversary of the cemtery and the 23rd annual veteranss memorial service. This historic cemetery is part of the Ft. Stanton State Monument. Its history began in 1899 as the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital Cemetery.

At the present time over 1725 merchant mariners, armed forces veterans, their families and staff have found this cemetery as their final resting place either by choice of fate.

The memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM. The cemetery is located near the Ft. Stanton Monument on State Highway 220.
