Fredric James "Freddie" Second

Fredric James Second "Freddie", age 61, passed away on November 14, 2024 in Mescalero, New Mexico. He was born on March 11, 1963 to the late Ireta and Cedric Second. 

Fred ice skated in his adolescence. As a teen in high school he competed in cross country and was a marathon runner. Later in life, he enjoyed fighting fires in multiple states as a wildland firefighter, which he did for several years. Throughout his life he enjoyed skiing and most who knew him knew he was an avid fan of the band KISS and a lover of Pepsi. 

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Fred is survived by his son, Criss Coula St. James Second; daughter, Frances Alyssa Enjady; granddaughter, Natalie Kim Enjady; brothers, his twin Everett Second, Frank Second, and Brandon Mendez; sisters, Jackie Knighten, and Marcia Hosetosavit; other family, Jessica Knighten, Jadanna Monongye, Jaron Knighten, Joy Chee, Everett Second Jr., Kyle Second, Yvette Second, Eunice Second, Bryan Second, Arieal Second, and Gregory Second. He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Valarie Enjady; brother, Ross Second; and grandmother, Angelia Yulay. 

A prayer service will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 6:00 PM at Mescalero Baptist Mission in Mescalero, New Mexico. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Mescalero Baptist Mission. Interment will follow at Mescalero Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Brandon Mendez, Edward Hightower, Warren Mendez, Jaron Knighten, Nick Padilla, and Eugene Damon.
