Francis Bubser

A Memorial Mass for Francis Frank J. Bubser, 87 of Ruidoso, will be celebrated on Wednesday March 3, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Capitan with Fr. Franklyn officiating.


Francis was born on September 25, 1922 in Pottsville, PA to William and Mary Bubser and passed away on February 25, 2010 at Mescalero Care Center in Mescalero. He spent 24 years in the Air Force, during WWII and Korea and retired as a Master Sergeant. Upon retirement he spent another 20 years with the Army Air Force Exchange System in San Antonio, Texas. He moved to Ruidoso in 2007 and fell in love with His Mountain. He only lived in Ruidoso for a short time, but made many friends in his official job as Greeter at All American Realty and little old man about town.


Francis is preceded in death by his parents William and Mary Bubser. He is survived by his son, Frank Bubser and wife Rose of Ruidoso, his brothers Bob Bubser of Metutchen, NJ, Anthony Bubser and Joseph Bubser of Pottsville, PA. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Honesty of Queen Creek, AZ and a grandson, Justin of Tucson, AZ. Also surviving him are his Great grandchildren, OBrien, Kyler and Olivia of Queen Creek, AZ.


His cremated remains will be buried at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with his wife Elsa, who passed away 13 years ago.
