Francis Blake Jr.

Francis Blake Jr., 32, of Mescalero passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in Albuquerque. He was born June 2, 1981 at Mescalero and had lived most of his life in Mescalero. He lived four years in Albuquerque and worked as a carpenter. He also had worked at Ski Apache and as a firefighter for the Mescalero Apache Tribe.

He is survived by his parents, Francis and Lyann Blake Sr. son, Kalvin Balatche sisters, Merlene Chee, Alva Blake, Charis Blake, Frances Jolene Blake his mother, Sharon Tazaah companion, Jennifer Chimal numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Mariah and Kyra brother, Pierre Sonny Shield sister, Nikki Shield.

Visitation will be Monday, January 27, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. The prayer service will also be Monday at 6:00 PM in St. Jospehs Mission where the funeral mass will be Tuesday, January 28, at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at FNL Blake Land Cemetery.
