Frances Pirelli

We would like to celebrate the life of Frances Erolene Pirelli, more commonly known as Erol. Services will be held Saturday, March 19 at 2:00 at the United Methodist Church in Ruidoso. She was born in Texas on March 25, 1921 and passed from this earth on March 12, 2011.

Erol was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Pirelli, her mother Johnnie Mae Howell, her father Roy Howell, her daughter Jocelyn Rebecca and grand daughter Jasmine. She is survived by her son, Sam Pirelli, daughter Alicia Annala and grandchildren Debbie, Sammi, Sydney, Frankie, Denise, Diana and Sunny. She also had nine great grand children and five greatgreat grandchildren.


She grew up in West Texas as she would put it, and graduated from Pecos High School in Pecos, Texas. She spent her early adulthood in Lubbock and then moved to Ruidoso over 60 years ago.

She worked many places as she watched and participated in the growth of Ruidoso from a notsosleepy little village to the town it is today. She truly loved Ruidoso and the people in it.

She was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary for over 20 years and spent many years as a volunteer for the Ruidoso Little Theater. She also volunteered at the Pink Shop and Humane Society Thrift Shop for over twenty years. She was a Lioness and spent many years involved through her husband in the Ruidoso Lions Clubs both Evening and Noon.

She had a beautiful warm spirit and giving heart and took great pride in her family and friends. She loved all animals, especially her most recent dogs, Charlie and Molly. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Grandma MeMe as she was fondly called by her grandchildren will be truly missed and always remembered.

She would ask that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Lincoln County Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary or Lincoln County Humane Society.
