Frances Jones

Frances HannaVedderJones, 81, of Ruidoso passed away at her home on Thursday, July 11, 2013. Frances was born November 14, 1931 at Loma Linda, California to Frank and Lena Hanna, both precede her in death.

She graduated from Yuma High School in 1949. She married Kenneth Norman Jones on August 9, 1963 in San Diego, California and he preceded her in death. Frances owned and operated Fleetridge Realty at Pt. Loma and was the Broker in San Diego, California for many years until her retirement in 1981 when she moved to Ruidoso.

Frances so enjoyed playing skipbo with her grandchildren and her other joy was Oso, her little dog. She was so Thankful to have lived in the best neighborhood with so many dear friends.

Frances is survived by two daughters, Irene Pettersen and her husband, Harry of Ruidoso and Marla Stack and Bill Hightower of Ruidoso step children, Jenny and Jerry Todd, Wesley Jones and Kathryn Brock all of California her grandchildren, Amy Gochenour, Heather Kaer, James Kellogg and Steven Kellogg, Kenneth Bradshaw, Boyd Bradshaw, Brian Jones, Preston Todd and Jacque Marriott great grandchildren, Sara, Michael, Alexandria, Brianna, Jacob, Lena, Taj, Avril and Alden.

Frances was the youngest of six children, Roy McCarter, Frank Hanna, Martha Wilson, Cora Emrick and James Hanna, all have preceded her in death. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces. She is also preceded in death by Garrett Vedder, Thomas Tollison IV, William Kear and Rachel Bradshaw.

The family has requested memorials to RuidosoEncompass Hospice.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
