Favia Dalton

With profound sadness we announce the passing of our loving and devoted mother, Favia. She was born and raised in Lincoln, NM. She married Ben Dalton on September 12, 1955. She retired from Fort Stanton Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ben, and her son Gilbert Montoya. She is the loving mother of Theresa Baca, Patsy Godinez, Christine Serna, Debbie Dalton-Chacon, and Christel Dalton-Griego. She especially loved her role as Grandma. Favia had 20 Grandchildren, 42 Great Grandchildren, and 27 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Our mom was the strongest and most energetic person we knew. She enjoyed doing puzzles, sewing, tending to her plants, coke floats, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was their biggest sports fan, never missing a game and always wearing orange.

The Rosary will be recited on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Capitan. The Funeral Mass will follow the Rosary. Interment will be private.

A Reception will be held at 2:00 P.M. at the Walnut Grove Ranch in Lincoln, NM.
