Anyone who knew Zekey, or knew his story, knew that he was here to fulfill God's plan. In his short four years of life, Zekey taught us the meaning of true love, resilience and perseverance, and endless hope. Every obstacle Zekey met, gave his parents the strong faith in God that carried them through the many obstacles he faced. Zekey was a fighter and without even knowing it, he was also a natural born leader. He led his family, and all who knew him, through a journey that no one could have ever imagined. At just four years old, he taught us so much about life: the ups and downs, the good times and the bad times and all the unforgettable moments. He taught us how to take one day at a time and not rush our time here on Earth. Zekey taught us to enjoy the little things and to stop and cherish all the moments we have with our loved ones. The small moments and the big ones, too. Sweet Zekey was always the light in the room and his light will forever shine. God's plan didn't end when Zekey was called home and neither does his story. Through the people who knew him, his story will continue to grow, and he will continue to fulfill God's plan of bringing awareness of Dystonia, to those he left behind. We will miss you Zekey, but we know that one day, we will see your beautiful smile again.
