Eva Kimbrell

November 27, 1937 — December 2, 2020

Ruidoso Downs

Eva S. Kimbrell was born on November 27th, 1937 in San Patricio, NM to Patricio and Celia Sanchez. She was taken from us, by Coronavirus, on December 2nd, 2020 and is now in the arms of her Lord, no longer suffering.

Eva was raised in San Patricio with 12 brothers and sisters. She moved to Wilmington, CA in 1963, with her then husband, John, where she raised her children and worked many jobs, including in a candy factory. She returned to Ruidoso in 1990 and later retired from Holiday Inn as the head housekeeper. Eva would always have a pot of beans and the best red Chile on the stove. Anyone who entered her home was treated like family and left with a full stomach and an even fuller heart. She was kind and caring but didn’t take any crap either. Eva spent her life giving to others and will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her longtime partner, Armando Valadez; siblings, Adan Sanchez, Patricio Sanchez, and Magdalena Montaño; children Roderick and his wife Elena, Broderick and his partner Effie, Derrick and his wife Gaby, and Errick and his wife Chelsea; her many grandchildren, Lauren, Roderick Jr., Ian, Rachel, Megan, Morgan, Santino, Joseph, Junior, Ashileigh, Alexandria, Alexia, Alejandra, Andrea, Patrick, and Sophie; many great grandchildren, and countless cousins and family members who all loved her dearly.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Arsalone, Adonis, Arcelia, Herminia, Loyola, Celia, Oralia, Priscilla, and Melvin; her sons, Frederick I, Patrick, and Frederick II, and her daughter, Andrea (Gigi).

A graveside service was held at Saint Jude Cemetery in San Patricio, NM on Wednesday, December 9, 2020.

In lieu of flowers we ask that you wear a mask and limit your social contact... if not for yourself then for those that cannot fight for themselves.
