Ervin Aldaz, 73, beloved Husband, Son, Father, and Grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on December 13, 2024. He entered this world on April 15, 1951 in Roswell, NM, born to Tommy and Gloria Aldaz. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Stephanie Aldaz; mother Gloria Aldaz; daughter Anita Gallegos and husband Marcelino Gallegos, sons Gabriel Aldaz Gallegos and Diego Aldaz Gallegos; daughter Mandi Aldaz and son William Padilla; son Tommy Aldaz and wife Tina Aldaz daughter Alicia Roybal and son Angelo Aldaz; sister Debbie Padilla husband Jimmy Padilla and daughter Melanie Smith and family; brother Adam Aldaz. Ervin is preceded in death by his father Tommy Aldaz and nephew William Padilla.
Ervin attended Capitan High School, New Mexico Military Institute, received his bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico and master's degree from Highlands University. He had a distinguished career as a Hospital Administrator at Ft. Stanton State Hospital where he was a fourth-generation worker, and where he made a lifetime of memories and friends.
Ervin "Erv" resided at Torres Ranch with his wife Stephanie. Erv had an unwavering love for his family and enjoyed nothing more than having his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews visit the Rancho as often as possible. Erv enjoyed being at the rio, nurturing his land, gardening, mowing, working on his tractor, walking the land with his mom and coming into the kitchen with his favorite meals prepared by Stephanie as he enjoyed his favorite music. He was always his grandchildren's #1 fan and loved attending all their games and school activities. You could often find him on his favorite golf course or cheering on the lobos. He was extremely proud of his heritage and ancestry; and welcomed sharing it with his family. Erv's energy could fill a room with a single smile and story full of laughter. Erv was passionate about keeping his family's history alive and would want everyone to remember him by sharing memories of his life.
A memorial service will be held on December 28, 2024, 10:30am Rosary and 11:00am service at St. Jude Mission, San Patricio New Mexico. Reception to follow immediately.
