Edward Frederickson

Edward Wayne Frederickson, PhD, 79, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, January 8, 2012. Wayne was born on December 4, 1932 in Sydney, Iowa to Helen Holland Frederickson and Kenneth Frederickson. Wayne then attended Willamette University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree Major in Biology in 1955. Wayne attended medical school for one year but decided not to pursue that field of study. He then attended Baylor University where he earned a Master of Arts in Psychology and then a Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial Psychology. He left school in 1970 and moved to El Paso, Yexas where he served an internship at HumRRO and eventually gained employment Management Counsultant. He began his teaching career in the Management and Marketing Dept. for 27 years at UTEP and served at adjunct a Park College and Webster College.

Wayne was predeceased by his mother, father, brother Bill Frederickson and mother in law, Lanell Whisler. Also preceding Wayne was the mother who raised him, Jarjorie Frederickson.

He is survived by his wife, Susan daughter, Delora brother Bob and cousin Don.

Wayne married Susan Whisler on December 31, 1985. They made their hom in El Paso, Texas for many years and then moved to Ruidoso around 1997 where they have resided ever since. Susan and Wayne enjoyed a loving and devoted marriage and just celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary.

Celebraton of Life for Edward Wayne Frederickson, 79, of Ruidoso was Wednesday, Jaunary 11, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at his residence located at 512 Snowcap Drive.
