Edgar Torres Sr.

Rosary for Edgar Torres Sr., 71, of Mescalero will be Friday, August 26, at 9:00 AM in St. Josephs Mission with the funeral mass to follow at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Mescalero Cemetery.

Mr. Torres passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011 in Alamogordo. He was born February 13, 1940 at Mescalero and had lived there all of his life. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for BIA and had also worked as a Mescaelro Apache Red Hat and at the Mescalero Sawmill.

He is survived by two daughters, Avaline Torres and Dorothy Beck a son, Edward Hightower grandsons, Edgar Torres III, Jonathan Caje and Tralin Enjady step children, Leola Caje, Sharon Duffy, Marcella Caje and 9 step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Sundayman mother, Dorothy Torres brother, Ronald Torres wife, Adeline C. Torres grandson, Tielson Ray Caje.

The family would like to say Thank You to, Mescalero Care Center, Mescalero Elderly Center, Casa Blanca Arena Nursing Center, St. Judes Hospital in Albuquerque Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center and the ICU Life Transition Team at the hospital.
