Dustin Sultemeier

Dustin Nathaniel Sultemeier of Carlsbad, NM went to be with the Lord on April 23, 2013 after having an automobile accident. He was born May 30, 1982 in Hobbs, NM to Allen and Kristin Sultemeier.

Dustin attended elementary school at Corona Elementary. He then moved to Capitan in 1995, where he attended grades 712. Dustin was a dedicated athlete, playing football, basketball and track. He was active in both 4H and FFA in judging and showing. Dustin graduated from Capitan High School in May, 2001.

Dustin accepted the Lord as his savior and was baptized on March 21, 2010.

Dustin went on to complete the Building Trades Certificate from ENMU Ruidoso in May, 2010. He lived in Ruidoso where he worked as a journeyman electrician until September, 2011. He then moved to Carlsbad where he worked as an oilfield electrician.

Dustin is survived by his parents, Allen and Kristin Sultemeier brothers, Wade Sultemeier of Capitan and Keith Sultemeier of Carlsbad maternal grandparents, Madie and Virginia Sansoucie of Roswell and Jack and Willie McCaw of Rye, CO paternal grandmother, Allene Sultemeier of Albuquerque aunt, Judith McCaw of Pueblo, CO uncle, Jack McCaw III and aunt, Becky Watterson of Ruidoso uncles and aunts, Mark and Barbara Sultemeier of Corona and Bunk and Laurie Mullins of Las Cruces cousins, Jacob and David McCaw of Ruidoso, Dulcie Sultemeier of Canyon, TX, Byran and Kyle Mullins of Las Cruces and many friends.

Dustin was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Ernest Sultemeier aunt, Peggy Mann and uncle Tom McCaw

Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 27, at 11:00 AM at the Traylor Gym at the Capitan School.
