Dorothy Tipps

Graveside services for Dorothy Tipps, 90, of Alamogordo and formerly of Artesia will be Monday, March 21, at 11:00 AM in the Woodbine Cemetery at Artesia, NM. Mrs. Tipps passed away Monday, March 14, 2011 in Alamogordo.

She was born February 11, 1921 at Wichita Falls, Texas and grew up in Artesia where she had lived most of her life. She graduated from Artesia High School as the Valedictorian, she was known for her quilts that she made. She was a self employed bookkeeper and attended the First Baptist Church of Artesia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Tipps.

She is survived by two sisters, Gladys Neill and Lois Maynard and 7 grandchildren.
