Dorothy Fellows

Memorial service for Dorothy Fellows, 73, of Ruidoso will be Friday, July 11, at 2:00 PM in Community United Methodist Church in Ruidoso. Mrs. Fellows was born March 10, 1935 at Waterbury, Connecticut and passed away Sunday, June 29, in Lubbock. She moved to Alamogordo in 1959 and lived there until 1982 then she moved to LaLuz and lived there until 1991 when she moved to Ruidoso. She was very civic minded with service including Chair Person of the Womens Division of the Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce and was an avid Party and and Duplicate Bridge Player. She married Leland Fellows Sr. on July 17, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois and he preceded her in death on October 20, 2000. She attended the Community United Methodist Church in Ruidoso. She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Heithold of High Rolls; a son, Leland Lewis Fellows Jr. of Lubbock; five grandchildren, Bryce Heithold, Orlan Heithold, Megan Heithold, Leland Fellows III, and Kristin Fellows. The family has requested memorials to the Humane Society of Lincoln, PO Box 2832, Ruidoso, NM 88355 or to the Community Youth Warehouse Building, Community United Methodist Church, 220 Junction Road, Ruidoso, 88345.
