Donnie Floyd Vincent

December 1, 1939- April 1, 2008

Donnie was born on December 1st in Texas County, Missouri to Lucy and William Vincent Both deceased. Donnie was raised and attended school in Muleshoe Texas until he joined the Navy on January 11, 1957. Donnie was honorably discharged on October 20, 1964. After the Navy Donnie worked numerous cowboy jobs until he moved to Clovis to work for Kenneth Cook Oil Co. Donnie married Betty Joan Brown on December 23, 1967. They raised six children. Donnie and Betty have lived in Ruidoso for the past 20 years managing Lookout Estates Condominiums and owning Flash Trucking. Donnie was best known as Flash by friends and Papa by family.

Donnie passed peacefully April 1, 2008 at his home in Ruidoso Downs after battling cancer for the past 2 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Vincent; his daughters Cindy Hatley husband Dusty of Kingsland TX, Sherry Thetford of Capitan NM, Tammy Kerby husband Steve of Clovis, NM. His sons Harlan Vincent wife Rhonda of Ruidoso Downs, NM, W.G. Baber of El Paso TX, Clay Vincent of Lubbock TX, and seventeen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, six sister-in-laws and three brother-in-laws. He was truly loved and will be missed by all of them.

A celebration of Donnies life will be held April 5, 2008, at 1:00pm in Ruidoso NM at Gateway Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers donations to Ruidoso Hospice Care would be greatly appreciated.
