Memorial service for Don Riddett, 88, of Alto will be Monday, Jan. 5, at 1:00 PM in the Episcopal Church of the Holy Mount. Mr. Riddett passed away Thursday, Dec. 25, at Alto. He was born July 20, 1920 to Elsie and Albert Riddett at Yonkers, New York. He moved to Lincoln County 30 years ago from Hideaway Lake, Texas. He was a owneroperator of an Internaitonal House of Pankcakes when the retired. In Lincoln County he was a member of the Ruidoso Noon Lions Club and a Burgandy man of the Lincoln County Medical Center Auxillary. He was also an Eagle Scout and Scout Master. He is survived by his wife Jean of Alto; a son, Frank Swistak of Anna, Texas; a daughter, Laurie Varveau of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Alberta Riddett of Roswell; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Einhorn. The family has requested memorials to the Episcopal Church of the Holy Mount.
