Don Roger Zeitelhack was born June 21, 1948 in Tomahawk, Wisconsin and passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010 in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
Don grew up in Chula Vista, California where he met his future wife, Gloria Morissette. Don enlisted in the Green Berets after which he and Gloria moved to Tomahawk, Wisconsin. They attended Nicolet College and were married in 1977 in a log church in Harrison, Wisconsin. Both were artist and began to develop a unique line of jewelry. Don and Gloria won many awards and traveled throughout the U.S. art shows selling their jewelry. In 1988 they settled in Alto, New Mexico and opened Many Moons Art Gallery in Ruidoso. Don joined the Bonito Fire Department, his second passion in life and became Deputy Fire Chief.
Don is survived by is parents, Robert Orpha Zeitelhack sister, Donna Gillespie and her husband Bill and finace, Debra Moore.
Don will be remembered by his family and his many, many friends for his zest for life. He will return to Tomahawk in the spring for burial in the family plot at Prairie Rapids Cemetery.
