Dominick "Bobby" "Montgomery" Peso, born on September 6, 1967, in Mescalero, New Mexico, passed away on January 10, 2025, in the same town he called home. Bobby was known for his remarkable journey as a chef, traveling across the country from Washington State to Delaware. He showcased his culinary skills in various regions and was well-versed in many types of cuisines. During his travels, he always made his way on foot, a testament to his adventurous spirit.
Dominick was a gentle and generous soul who always cared for those in need. Known for his happy demeanor, he brought joy and laughter to those around him. His vibrant personality shone through in everything he did, whether it was cooking delectable meals or performing BMX tricks.
Family was incredibly important to him. He took great pride in the arrival of his first great-grandchild and cherished all his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving mother, Sofia Guilez Peso, and his children: Triston Peso, Swan Kanseah, Kendra Valdez, and Rebecca Boone. Dominick is also remembered by his siblings, including Byron Treas, Roman Aldava, Allen Peso, Reno Pena, Marie Aragon, Trudy Treas, Marily Treas, and Monica Peso.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Peso, and brothers Daniel and Karl Peso. He also mourned the loss of his niece, Collette Garcia.
A graveside service is scheduled for January 17, 2025, at Peso Cemetery in Mescalero, with the service starting at 2:00 PM. The procession will begin at 1:00PM from LaGrone Funeral Chapel in Ruidoso. Dominick's kind heart and joyous spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
