David Bruce Iverson, 66, of Ruidoso passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in Ruidoso. He was born February 25, 1943 in St. Paul Minnesota and grew up in the Twin Cities. His parents were Orvin and Esther Iverson.br brDavid served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He held degrees from the University of Minnesota and MIT. He worked as a Special Agent for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company for thrity years.br brHe was a loving and caring companion, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He loved people and never met anyone he couldn't befriend in five minutes. He enjoyed traveling and eating good food. He had a huge, welcoming smile and mannner.br brHe is survived by he devoted companion of fourteen years, Joyce Cox; his son, Lorne Iverson and wife Rose and granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Layla of Elgin, Illinois; his daughter, Barbara Iverson of Prague, Czech Republic; Joyce's son, Steve Cox and wife Jennifer and granddaughters, Katy and Stefani of Pecos, Texas; his brother, John Iverson and wife Grace and nephews, Mark and Nicholas of Minnesota; his brother Jim Iverson and wife Linda and nieces Amy and Mandy of Minnesota. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Elizabeth.br brA memorial service will be held at a later date. The family has requested memorials to the Ruidoso Public Library and the Ruidoso Humane Society.br br
