David Baca

David Chavez Baca was born on November, 19, 1945 to Julian and Raquel Baca in Corona, New Mexico. In David's younger adult life he worked on ranches in the Corona area. In 1977, he married Sally Baca and made his home in Carrizozo, New Mexico with her and their 3 children. David retired from the New Mexico Department of Transportation in 2008.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Raquel Baca, his brothers, Mike Baca, Evaristo Baca, and Albert Baca. His sister, Pristinia Archuleta and his son, Nathan Scott Zamora.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sally Baca, sisters, Viola Marquez (Ramon), Bernadette Sanchez (Ernie), and Rita Chavez. His children, Duane Zamora (Kelly), Luana Goss (Darvas), his grandchildren, Chaz Zamora, Scott Zamora (Camille), Antoinette Goss, Nicco Osborn (Ryan) and Sydney Zamora, two great grandchildren, Rylan and Lincoln Zamora as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be on December 21, 2024 with rosary at 10:30 and mass to follow at 11:00 at Santa Rita Catholic Church in Carrizozo, New Mexico. Burial services will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe cemetery with a dinner to follow at the Parish Hall.
