Daniel Castorena

Daniel Castorena, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend to many, passed away on September 22, 2023, in Tinnie, New Mexico. He was born on January 3, 1967, in Downey, California.

Daniel had a zest for life that was evident in everything he did. He approached each day with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure. When he wasn't flying his kite, trying not to wreck on his dirtbike, or harassing his friends and family with his odd humor and inappropriate comments, he loved playing his guitars and going on walks with his dogs.

On September 22, 2023, Daniel peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. His loved ones provided comfort and support during his final moments, ensuring that he felt their presence until the end.

Daniel's absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. He will be profoundly missed by his mother Eunice Muzyka, father Estaban Castorena, brother Sammy Castorena, sister Estrella Connell, stepfather Joseph A. Loiacono, step-sister Gina Durney, step-brother Anthony P. Loiacono, half-sister Marisela Caraballo, niece Jessica Sobczak and her husband Ryan, nephew RC Connell, grandnieces Hunter and Jamie, and his cherished fur baby Xochi.

A graveside service will be held to honor Daniel's memory on October 7, 2023, at Hondo Cemetery in Hondo, New Mexico. The service will commence at 10:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to attend as we celebrate the life of an extraordinary individual.

Daniel Castorena will forever be remembered for his vibrant spirit, his love for adventure, and his unwavering devotion to those he held dear. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire all who knew him.
