Funeral services for Damon Black, 56, of Ruidoso will be Friday, August 1, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at Alto with burial to follow at the Nogal Cemetery. Mr. Black passed away Sunday, July 27, in Lubbock, Texas. He was born August 15, 1951 at McKinney, Texas. He moved to Ruidoso 14 years ago from Colorado. He is survived by is wife, Shelley; five children, Kerri, Amber, Nicki, Chelsea, and Callie; 5 grandchildren; his mother, Dorothy Painter; sister, Denise Painter and a brother, Damon Butch Black.
