Curtis Johnson

Curtis Ray C.J. Johnson, 65, of Mescalero passed away Friday, January 3, 2013 in Alamogordo. He was born November 25, 1948 at Mescalero and had lived there all of his life. C.J. was a Red Hat and Hot Shot Firefighter and had also worked in the maintenance department for the Mescalero Apache Tribe. He married Henrietta Shanta on February 23, 1976 at Alamogordo.

He is survived by his wife, Henrietta Johnson two sons, Clyde Davis and Timothy Johnson two daughters, Jerilyn Morgan and Myrtle Johnson his mother, Clora Mae Johnson two brothers, Gareth Johnson and Albert Johnson sister, Perida Tso.

Visitation will be Monday, January 6, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel in Ruidoso from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Prayer service will be Monday, Janaury 6, at 6:00 PM in the Mescalero Community Center where the funeral service will be on Tuesday, January 7, 2013. Burial will follow at the Mescalero.
