Crusita Montoya

She was born May 18, 1929 at Ruidoso Downs and had lived in Lincoln County all of her life. She was well known, well traveled and loved by all. She knew no strangers, new acquaintences instantly became friends. She was the backbone of our family and will be deeply missed. She attended St. Eleanor's Catholic Church. She is survived three daughters, Josie Herrera and her husband Roger, Gloria Castillo, and Lisa Sanchez and her husband Richard; a sister-in-law, Leona Montoya; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 4 sisters, 1 brother and numerous nieces and nephews and her longtime companion Max Chavez and his daughter and son. She was preceded in death by her husband, Candido Montoya Sr.; parents, Meliton and Concha Sanchez; sons, Candido Montoya Jr. and James Montoya and daughter,
