Funeral service for Charles L. Shanta Jr., 59, of Mescalero will be Saturday, November 16, at the Mescalero Reformed Church with burial at the Mescalero Cemetery.
Mr. Shanta passed away Friday, November 8, 2013 at Mescalero where he had lived all of his life. He worked for the Housing Authority.
He is survived by sons, Buffy Shanta and Jarod Chico daughters, Santee Shanta, Toneya Shanta and Camille Shanta brother and sisters, Russell Shanta, Charlene Shanta, and Alta Branham. He was preceded in death by two sons, Ira Shanta and Murray Chico.
