Charles Shanta

Charles Dean Shanta, 71, passed away on March 4, 2023, in Ruidoso, NM. He was born to parents Albert Haus and Vera Shanta on June 1, 1951, in Ruidoso.

Charles was an avid Elk Horn Hunter and loved the outdoors.

Charles is survived by his daughters Ramona Chino, Sierra "Povi" Shanta, Shantal Shanta, Monet Shanta, Melissa Shanta, and Rochelle Shanta. He is also survived by sisters Cindy Kayitah and Ruby Jean Shanta. Charles is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Cid Chino, Barry Shanta, Jordan Shanta, David Shanta, Jaxon Morgan, Blaine Magooshboy, and Bill Antoine. Honorary pallbearers will be Jory Shanta, Stephen Chino, Kenneth Kayitah Jr., Shawn Monagai, Renae Kayitah, Waydell Chino, Trey Kaydahzinne, Asa Shanta, Carrie Misquez, Jennifer Dolan, Twyla Dolan, Leland Shanta, Josh Morgan, Gary Saenz, Amador Martinez, and Eddie Martinez.
