Charles Jones

Charles L. Jones, 70, of Ruidoso passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born December 23, 1943 in Stuttgart, Arkansas.

Mr. Jones moved to Ruidoso in 1999 from Detroit, Michigan. He was a retired anesthesiologist, he liked to play poker, chess and was a fan of all sports. He was a faithful Green Bay Packer fan and loved to talk politics. He attended Ruidoso Baptist Church.

He married Carol Shaner on June 1, 1968 at Kansas City, Kansas. He is survived by his wife, Carol 2 daughters, Laura Garcia of Beavercreek, Ohio and Valerie Jones of Farmington Hills, Michigan brother, James Jones of St. Peters, Missouri and two grandchildren, Brandon Lee Garcia and Kara Rose Garcia.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 7, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM with the funeral service on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 10:00 AM in the Ruidoso Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

The family has requested memorials to Ruidoso Baptist Church of Ruidoso Hospice.
