Charles Butts

Visitation for Todd Butts, 43, of Captian will be Sunday, Sept. 7, in LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM with the funeral service on Monday, Sept. 8, at 3:30 PM also in LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso with burial to follow at the Ruidoso Hondo Valley Cemetery. Mr. Butts passed away Friday, Sept. 5, in Ruidoso. He was born March 27, 1965 in Roswell, he moved to Lincoln County 20 years ago from Clovis. He was a former sports writer for the Ruidoso News and loved kids and animals and he had served in the Navy. He is survived by his mother, Jan Rogers; father and step mother, Wayne and Kathy Butts; grandparents, Clifford and Mabel Butts; brothers and sisters, Shane Butts, Deborah Debbie Abney, Mychelle Gonzales, Kristina Miller, Scott Miller; numerous aunts and uncles, 11 nieces and nephews and many loved ones and friends. He was preceded in death by his step father, Michael Rogers. The family has requested memorials to the Todd Butts Educational Scholarship Fund in care of Southwest Securities F.S.B., 1860 Sudderth Dr., Ruidoso, NM 88345.
