Carolina Sanchez

Carolina L. Sanchez, age 75, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 8, 2021, at the Lincoln County Medical Center in Ruidoso N.M.  She was born June 6, 1946 in Carrizozo N.M. to Josefita Barela Lopez and Rafael Marrujo Lopez.  She was a 1964 High School Graduate of The Carrizozo Grizzlies.  She married Juan Sanchez on January 11, 1967 in Oxnard, California and had 2 wonderful daughters, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  She worked as an Assistant Cook and Driver for the Meals on Wheels, with the Ruidoso Downs Senior Center for many years and also provided professional cleaning services for a variety of Community Members in the Ruidoso Downs area as well.  She was known to be a very humble lady who stood proud for what she believed in and taught her children and grandchildren the necessities of life and comforted them as a loving mother/grandmother would.  She was a Bowling Pro by Heart where she was awarded many plaques and trophies throughout her life.  Carol truly lived a fulfilling life, where she touched many lives and was loved by all who met her.  If you had a cup of coffee and good conversation, she would make it a point to be there.

She is survived by: Carmen Burch (sister), George Guebara (brother) and wife Frances Guebara, Ralph (Crow) Lopez (brother), Leroy Lopez (brother), David Lopez (brother), Antonia Lopez (sister-in-law), Rosemary Lopez (sister), Veronica Sanchez (daughter), Juanita Aguirre (daughter) and Husband Jason Aguirre, Olivia Vrba (granddaughter) and husband Michael Vrba, Demitrio Sanchez (grandson), Nikko Garcia (grandson), Sofia-Jo Sanchez (granddaughter), Ava Sanchez (great granddaughter), Demi Sanchez (great granddaughter), Joe Vrba (great grandson), Sera Vrba (great granddaughter), Kade Vrba (great grandson).

Deceased: Juan Sanchez (husband), Felix Guebara (brother), Macrina “Kina” Candelaria (sister), Angelica Aguirre (granddaughter), Spencer Burch (brother-in-law).

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Gateway Church of Christ in Ruidoso.
