Prayer service for Carlos S. Sanchez, 90, of Ruidoso will be Monday, April 20, at 6:00 P.M. at St. Eleanor's Catholic Church where the funeral mass will be on Tuesday, April 21, at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Sanchez passed away Thursday, April 16, in El Paso, Texas. He was born June 10, 1918 at Las Cruces to Manuelita and Salamon Sanchez who both precede him in death and had live in Ruidoso all of his life. He was a retired shop foreman, member of the Lincoln County Sheriff Posse, loved to paint cars and was a master craftsman. He attended St. Eleanor's Catholic Church. He married Alvesa Montoya on July 22, 1940 at Glencoe. He is survived by his wife, Alvesa; two sons, Robert Sanchez and his wife Lucy of Ruidoso and Richard Sanchez and his wife Jeannie of LaLuz; a daughter, Ola Rue of Ruidoso; brother, Porfirio Sanchez of San Patricio; a sister, Eufracia Romero of Tularosa; 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Luvin Sanchez, Alberto Sanchez, Salamon Sanchez, and Henry Sanchez; sisters, Amalia Sanchez, Virginia Randolph, Anatalia Herrera, Concolacion Silva, Telesfora Pena and Eduvigen Silva and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Rue.
