Prayer service for Brandy Nikki Nicole Salazar, 14, of Mescalero will be Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 6:00 PM at the Mescalero Reformed Church where the funeral will be on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at the White Tail Cemetery. Nikki passed away Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Mescalero. She was born March 23, 1995 at Ruidoso and had lived at Mescalero all of her life. She was a Freshman at Ruidoso High School, she loved to entertain, she loved the outdoors, swimming, riding horses and cross country running. She loved to play basketball and volleyball. She is survived by her guardians, Tammy and Michael A. Torres; mother, Becky Lester; father, Armando A. Salazar; 5 brothers, Michael T. Torres, Frank Lester, Theodore Torres, Harlon P. Lester, and Branson L. Lester; two sisters, Tori Marden and Brittney L. Salazar; grandparents, Anita Lester, Anita and Andy Salazar Sr., Orlinda and Bill Stevens, Sadie and Rex Comanche Sr.; great grandparents, Ramon and Adela Pino. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Parker Lester.
