Brad O'Don Garrison, a resident of Albuquerque for over 40 years, died July 15, 2008 in his home in Ruidoso, where he lived since retiring in 2007. He was born October 17, 1952 in Oklahoma City and was the loving son of John Garrison and Betty Mazzio. He graduated from Manzano High School in 1970 and later attended New Mexico State University. He owned Southwestern Dental lab from 1977 to 2007. Mr. Garrison leaves to cherish his memory; his adoring wife, Sandy; his parents, John Garrison and Betty Mazzio; step-father, Frank Mazzio; step-mother, Babs Garrison; younger brother, Gregg; son, Chad Garrison; daughter, Julie Garrison and her partner Paul Cervantes; step-daughter, Shelby Fields; and son-in-law, Dustin Fields.
Brad will be known as a man that had a zest for life and lived every day to the fullest. He was an avid golfer and was well known throughout New Mexico. His children considered him their hero and, along with the rest of his family, loved him deeply. He was well respected, loved, and admired by his friends and peers as well. Throughout his life, his generosity touched the lives of many. He had a tremendous influence on all those who knew him and will be missed and never forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Notah Begay III Foundation, serving the Native American Jr. Golf Program. Checks should be made out to Notah Begay III Foundation and sent to 6341 Riverside Plaza NW Suite 100 Albuquerque, NM 87120. A celebration of Mr. Garrisons life will be held on Sunday July 20th from 12 P.M.-6 P.M. at the home of Paul Cervantes and Julie Garrison. All friends and family are invited to attend.
