Visitation for Bill Martin McGill will be from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday July 4, 2009 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. A Masonic Service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday July 5, 2009 at LaGrone Funeral Chapel with members of the local Masonic Lodge officiating. Graveside service will be at 1:00 PM on Monday July 6, 2009 at Kermit Cemetery in Kermit, Texas with the members of the Kermit Masonic Lodge officiating.
Mr. McGill was born on February 9, 1931 in Tuttle, Oklahoma to Robert C. McGill and Ophelia Milford McGill and passed away on June 30, 2009 in Ruidoso, New Mexico. He attended grade school in Oklahoma, he then went to work for National Oil Supply and Trans Western Oil Company, these two companies merged into Enron Oil Company which he retired from while living in Kermit. Bill was a Chemical Engineer and received his Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering from Scranton. Penn. Mr. and Mrs. McGill moved to Ruidoso in 1994 from Kermit. He loved to fish, especially with his grandchildren, and had a green thumb when it came to gardening as he could grow anything, he just loved the outdoors. He was a member of the First Christian Church.
Mr. McGill is survived by his wife Mary of Ruidoso, a son Dale McGill and his wife Cindy of Ruidoso, his daughters, Amanda Knight and her husband Nick of Ruidoso and Raven Soto and her husband Sandro of Ruidoso; his sister, Pat Hoskinson of Brownwood, Texas; his grandchildren, Chris, Brian, Michael, and Paula McGill and Brandy Piluga and 13 great grandchildren.
